🧩 Job Description & Responsibilities

Cognizant seeks talented Software Engineers for its Chennai hub. In this hybrid role, you’ll join the Technology & Engineering team, building and supporting enterprise-grade software solutions across web and Windows platforms .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain application software using Java, JavaScript, PHP, Python, .NET, SQL, and shell scripting .
  • Conduct unit tests, code reviews, and collaborate within Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Design and implement stored procedures, triggers, and SQL scripting.
  • Deploy applications across environments and work with cloud platforms like Azure.
  • Provide mentorship and participate in knowledge-sharing within delivery teams.

✅ Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience in Java, JavaScript, PHP, Python, SQL, .NET, shell scripting
  • Familiarity with web and Windows application development
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/OpenShift/AWS)
