Sony Research India seeks a highly motivated research consultant to assist in developing predictive models for OTT platforms, leveraging deep learning, NLP, and large language models. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing models to analyze user behavior and predict churn with actionable insights
- Building causal inference–based intervention models for user retention
- Contributing to research on user engagement foundation models leveraging pre-trained LLMs
- Collaborating with scientists, engineers, and product teams in a dynamic research environment
- Applying AI to improve user experiences across millions of OTT users
- Engaging with the academic research community through publications and conferences
This role provides hands-on exposure to LLM fine-tuning, deep learning frameworks, cloud platforms (AWS preferred), and large-scale datasets, while fostering innovation and research excellence.

Key Skills:
- Applied Deep Learning & Machine Learning
- Natural Language Processing (NLP)
- Large Language Models (fine-tuning, training, usage)
- Python with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow/PyTorch)
- SQL and handling large-scale datasets
Preferred Profile:
- 0–1 years of experience in predictive modeling or LLM/NLP projects
- Familiarity with deploying models in production environments
- Cloud platform exposure (AWS preferred)
- Good publication record in ML/AI conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, AAAI, RecSys)
- Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to collaborate in research-driven teams
